this little shit had the audacity to steal my bike wheel at 9:00 pm on a tuesday outside 1701 Park road NW. cops say he and his little gang have been caught with a bunch of stolen bikes, parts, in case you're wondering what kind of asshole takes your bike wheel. 
so the next time you come across these jerks - you've seen them, the long white shirts, smoking cigarettes like they are the badest of badasses - kick 'em in the nuts for me. 
or better yet, take them to school for pete's sake. they're in the seventh grade....

I got my f-ing back bike tire stolen on Tuesday night.....it was locked right IN FRONT of the Columbia Heights target....stolen while I was at the gym sometime between 9:15 and 10:45. No, not exactly in mid-day...but still, there are a TON of people walking up and down 14th street at that hour.

yeah, i went by the CoHo target the other day and saw a ton of bike cadavers. ridiculous. and i've had two bikes stolen from the metro station in the middle of the day. why do people steal bike wheels? to replace the one they got stolen? we have to find the first person who started this vicious cycle and let them know what's up. terrible thing is, replacing a wheel isn't cheap! hard to find used ones around here...you'd think they'd make it easy to buy them back!
Thats interesting, my bike was stolen right down the street from there a while back. I wonder if MPD will look at the stolen bikes they found from these guys in the area versus the information they took from people like me. It would be wild to actually get my bike back.
Anyway, I know of these guys too. That really sucks, I'll see what I can do about that kick in the nuts.
There's a market for stolen bikes and stolen bike parts, especially wheels. I'm willing to bet there's less of a market now that there are fewer bike messengers than there used to be...
